Orders over £50 qualify for free UK delivery, and every purchase is backed by a full 1-year warranty. If you want a serious dual-battery mod with a luxury build and genuine tuning depth, the dotBox 220 V2 is a standout choice.

Introducing the Dotmod dotBox 220 V2 Mod

Dotmod has built a reputation for producing hardware that sits closer to precision engineering than typical vape gear, and the dotBox 220 V2 reflects that clearly. The aluminium alloy body keeps weight down without sacrificing the premium feel in hand. The 1.08″ colour display is crisp and easy to read, and the fully customisable luxury theme lets you tailor the interface to your preference.Seven operating modes cover everything from straightforward fixed-wattage vaping to temperature control and custom power curves. That range makes this mod genuinely versatile: it works as a clean, consistent daily driver and as a platform for dialling in more technical builds. The dedicated manual lock/unlock switch prevents accidental firing in a pocket or bag, which is a practical detail that matters on a high-powered device. This is not a beginner’s mod. It is built for RDL-to-DTL vapers and enthusiasts who are comfortable with external 18650 batteries and want precise, tuneable output from their hardware.

Why Choose the Dotmod dotBox 220 V2 Mod?

• Device style: Premium standalone dual-18650 box mod (mod only, no tank included)
• Battery and power: Requires 2 x 18650 batteries (sold separately), adjustable output from 5W to 220W
• Operating modes: PM (power mode), BP (bypass mode), NI (nickel TC), TI (titanium TC), SS (stainless steel TC), Curve (custom power ramp across the puff), Boost (harder initial hit with faster ramp-up). TC stands for temperature control, which regulates heat through supported wire types rather than setting a fixed wattage.
• Display: 1.08″ colour screen, clear and easy to read at a glance
• Customisation: Fully adjustable luxury display theme via the mod’s menu
• Safety controls: Dedicated manual lock/unlock switch to prevent accidental firing, plus multiple built-in protections
• Build quality: Lightweight aluminium alloy body with a premium finish
• 510 connection: Compatible with the vast majority of 510-threaded tanks and rebuildable atomisers
• Charging: USB-C built in (cable included), though external charging is recommended to protect 18650 battery lifespan
• Best for: Experienced DTL and RDL vapers, cloud chasers, flavour-focused enthusiasts, and hobbyists upgrading from a basic regulated mod

Seven modes and a fully tuneable output range give you genuine control over every puff, from a smooth flavour build to a punchy, high-wattage cloud session.

Compatibility and Performance

The dotBox 220 V2 uses a standard 510 connection, which means it works with the vast majority of tanks and rebuildable atomisers on the market. If you want a matched pairing from the Dotmod range, the dotTank Max V2 is the natural partner. You can also browse our sub-ohm tanks or RDA and RTA collections for compatible options.Vape style and wattage guidance:

• For RDL (restricted direct lung) vaping, a coil in the 0.4-0.8 ohm range running at 25-60W is a solid starting point. This suits 50/50 e-liquid blends and produces a tighter, more cigarette-like draw.
• For DTL (direct to lung) cloud vaping, a sub-ohm mesh coil running at 60-120W+ gives the best performance. High-VG shortfills at 70VG/30PG or above are the right liquid choice here.

Battery selection matters. The dotBox 220 V2 requires 2 x 18650 cells, which are not included. For a mod capable of 220W output, high-drain cells with a continuous discharge rating of 20A or above are strongly recommended. Using under-rated batteries at high wattages affects both performance and safety. Shop 18650 batteries to add the right cells to your order.Charging: A USB-C cable is included. For best 18650 battery longevity, use a dedicated external battery charger where possible. USB-C charging via the mod is fine for top-ups, but repeated in-device charging shortens cell lifespan over time.Modes in practice:

• Curve mode lets you draw a custom power ramp across the duration of each puff, useful for coils that benefit from a slower ramp to reach their ideal operating temperature.
• Boost mode fires harder at the start of the puff and tapers off, giving a punchier initial hit.
• TC modes (NI, TI, SS) pair with the corresponding wire types for temperature-regulated vaping, producing a more consistent puff-to-puff experience.
• BP (bypass) mimics a mechanical-style output based on current battery voltage, removing electronic regulation from the firing chain.

Because the dotBox 220 V2 is a universal 510 platform with a wide wattage range, it handles everything from a flavour-focused RDL setup to a high-powered DTL cloud build. Browse high-VG e-liquids or shortfills to match your liquid to your setup.
