Disposable Vapes Are Now Banned in the UK | Here’s What to Do Next

If you’ve found this page looking for disposable vapes, there’s something important you need to know. Since 1 June 2025, it is illegal to sell or supply single-use disposable vapes anywhere in the UK, including online, under legislation passed in October 2024. This covers all disposables regardless of nicotine content. As a result the IVG Bar Diamond disposable vape is no longer available for sale. The good news is that there are a great selection of disposable vape alternatives that give you the same flavours and convenience as a disposable, but have replaceable pods and can be recharged, making them fully legally compliant. Why the ban happened

  • ~5 million disposables were being discarded every week in the UK
  • Lithium batteries posed fire risks at waste facilities
  • Disposables were the most popular vape type among underage users

What’s still legal & available

  • Prefilled pod kits: closest to the disposable experience
  • Refillable pod systems: more flavour choice, lower cost
  • Starter kits: ideal if you’re new to reusable devices
